To Ride and Have Fun

About the Worcester Harley Owners Group ( H.O.G.)

Our Worcester H.O.G. Chapter is a place where people can share their passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and show their pride.

Every chapter, sponsored by a local dealership, has its own way of doing that, by meeting together, riding together, having fun together - whatever the members decide is the best way to ride and have fun.

The Worcester H.O.G. Chapter is sponsored by N.F. Sheldon's and was officially born in 1986. Membership tallied 50+ members.  Officers consisted of director, Kim Huff and Art Leavitt as secretary/treasurer. Shortly after, Art moved to Florida and Mark Ziemba filled Art’s positions. Under the leadership of our next director, Bob Lovett, we started our first newsletter with Roy Day as our Editor. Benefit rides were few but well-supported. The closest sister chapter was on Long Island.

Today, we have over 500 members, 22 officer positions, an informative and creative newsletter, and a photo-filled website that shows evidence of our camaraderie and fun.   Weekly, we enjoy Wednesday night and Friday night “dinner rides”. New for 2010 will be our Saturday and Sunday 100 to 400 mile destination rides.  Our get-togethers are always grounds for bonding and new-found friendships.  We become true team members and support each other whenever the opportunities arise.

Our chapter can only get better, as our recent election of officers included talented veteran faces and welcomed new chapter members.  At the start of our monthly meetings, there has been standing room only.  We enjoy putting our heads together and coming up with new and interesting activities and rides for our members. You can attend a monthly meeting as a guest and come find out what we’re all about!
