Rides 2003 Road King Classic

Loves Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream
Occupation: Transportation Logistics
Family: Wife: Sharon
Daughters Abigail (8) and Lila (4)
First bike: 1994 Sportster 883
Years riding: About 15 years and counting
How often do you ride: Not nearly often enough
Who do you ride with: Usually alone
Where are some of your favorite routes you’ve ridden: I like to ride up to to the top of Wachusset Mountain and around the Wachusett Reservoir. It's short, but I always ride to the top of the mountain to see if I can get a view of Boston, which is possible on a crystal clear day.
Funny situation you had that involved your bike: I was helping set up the first Joe Belanger Memorial ride, and I was so excited to take part in it that I neglected to fill up with gas before the ride. The first station we passed was closed, and I coasted in to the next one on fumes, and caught up to the group just after they had arrived at the Quabbin. Oops.
What’s the most expensive change or repair you’ve made to your bike: I raised my bars and put on braided control cables. It was so worth it, because the higher bars are so much more comfortable for me than the stock Road King bars.
You could buy another bike, what would your next one be and why: Sometimes I miss my Heritage Softail, so I might go back to on of those eventually.
What is your favorite Harley event you’ve attended: The first time I did the old Ronald McDonald run that the Boston Chapter used to run was mind-blowing. It was one of my first group rides in 1995, and Routes 128 and 9 were closed for us only for much of the ride.
What are some of your other interests or hobbies: I sing (scream?) and play guitar. I enjoy writing songs and reading and writing poetry.
What is your favorite...
Food: A good steak
Vacation place: Anywhere I can ride, but I prefer the mountains.
Movie: Shawshank Redemption
Recording artist or band: It's between Black Sabbath, the Beatles, the Who, or the Stones with Mick Taylor.
Tune: Just one?! I'll say "Rain" by the Beatles, but if you ask me again, I will probably give a different answer next time.
Do you have any pets: We have a gerbil named Daisathan. (We had two identical gerbils, Daisy and Jonathan. One of them died, but we couldn't tell which one, hence the name of the remaining gerbil.)
Tell us about a humorous and embarrassing moment (you’re willing to share): When my wife and I were riding in Nova Scotia, we were camping for many of the nights. After we got the tent set up on a rainy and windy evening, I moved the bike to what I thought was a safer spot, and the side-stand sunk into the ground letting the bike come gently to rest on its side. My wife was in the tent, so she didn't see me frantically trying to raise the bike. I didn't tell her about it until after we were safely home.
Tell us about someone you admire and why: My Dad has always stuck to his principles and has a passion for life and everything he does.
